Keeping in touch and staying interesting is a huge part of keeping your Followers on Twitter and it’s how all those people get all those Followers on Twitter.
A penny saved is a penny earned. getting Followers on Twitter is important, but keeping them is much more important; if you get them and they just walk away because you are too ignorant, or too boring, or you never post anything interesting, they’ll just un-follow you. Keeping your pennies is earning your pennies, so it’s not all about those techniques to get them, it’s about keeping them and exposing yourself virally.
Staying interesting is the temporary way of keeping your Followers. It’s basically like putting a temporary barrier on your basket, like some duct tape, or platelets in your blood. You want to be able to amend your basket before you move on; a great way to stay interesting is to put an interesting feed through your account; nope, not like chicken feed. Put a RSS/XML/ATOM feed through it, such as a Google Alerts Feed. You can copy and paste each description in Google Reader, and the link. If people are interested in that Tweet, they will be interested in you too. Then you’ll notice they have followed you. Success. but, keeping that way is important, and being diligent is a huge part of staying interesting. Make it your morning, afternoon, and evening routine to maybe post a few at separate times. Keeping a feed through your account will keep your Follower count up and huge.
However, to permanently fix your basket, you must make bonds with your Followers. making bonds is basically the rebinding of the basket, or the rebuilding of the skin after a cut or a wound. always try to make bonds with your followers. a great way to do this in a very simple way is just participating in events. If it’s Monday, participate in Music Monday and say a few songs. If some of your Followers like your songs, they’ll probably say so, and maybe add you on their mental “Friend” list and will always keep an eye on your Tweets. or maybe if it’s Follow Friday, mention them! It’s not hard at all, just copy and paste your favorites, maybe through a List you have made on Twitter. making that simple change in your Tweeting will keep them forever.
Getting a feed relayed through your account will be the simple duct tape for keeping your eggs. However, keeping your eggs is the most important thing to remember, and being permanent with that is the best. Make bonds with your Followers and you’ll be on your way to Twitter stardom.
